I have received information that if you have been involved in a data breach, or a FRAUD scam, or have even given you bank accounts details to anybody, that a terrorist organisation can direct debit to steal the money from your account and put it into their account
The Reserve Bank has been notified about this problem and are working on solving the problems, disruptions and theft.
The best way to handle this problem immediately is to set up a new bank account. The same bank is safe.
Just do not give your actual bank account details to anyone.
I have put in a request that all banks and banking apps add a share to “payme” QR code or link so people do not need to provide bank details to anyone moving forward.
